Beyond Continuous Improvement

Some interesting thoughts on improvement here :

>> A system is a whole that cannot be divided into independent parts and no part influences other parts independently.

>> Properties of a system, are not the properties of the parts! A car brings you from A to B, no part of a car can do that.

>> To improve the system, don't improve the parts. Improve the whole.

>> What would you improve if you could do whatever you want ? Don't know that? Then, how can you know with constraints ?

>>Doing the wrong thing right is not nearly as good as doing the right thing wrong

>> The difference between efficiency and effectiveness is like the difference between knowledge and wisdom.
